Überall (2012–2016)

Arno Schidlowski uses landscape photography to approach an internal state of mind and emotion. Thereby the fundamental means of expression and visual language within photography such as repetition or variation of focus and perspective are of significant relevance. Single images are bound in sequences; certain dialectics and manners how to take position in the environment are reflected in a specific rhythm and visual presentation.

The series „Überall“, consisting of 40 traditional analog c-prints (handprinted by the artist), which was photographed by Arno Schidlowski from 2012 to 2016. The oneiric continuitiy in the sequence of images provokes the impression of a non-physical and immaterial relation between author and surrounding – distant places unite atmospherically and independently of time and order of discovery.
